What is a Grapevine?

Grapevine is another name for informal communication. There are four types of informal communication:

Single strand:

Information spreads from one person to others through a single-person chain.

Gossip:

Information is spread by one person to a group others.

Probability:

A person spreads information based upon mathematical probability.

Cluster:

Information is spread to a group of trusted people by one person.
