1. Today's businesses focus mainly on cheaper production of materials. Therefore, the area of marketing the product has largely been ignored. Needless to say, the study of consumer behaviour and markets has become the job of marketing management.
2. The costs involved to carry out marketing decisions emphasize the importance of effective performance and marketing management.
3. Most products are seasonal or are targeted toward a specific community or age group. The marketing of these special or unstable products are the responsibility of marketing management.
4. Businesses such as wholesalers, retailers, manufacturers, etc., depend upon marketing management. With greater control over distribution of products comes greater marketing responsibility.
